Dahlia 'White Aster'

Dahlia 'White Aster' is one of the best of the white pompon dahlias (or ball dahlias) available to grow in gardens. Dozens of individual pompons are produced on well-grown plants, and each pompon may be 5-6cm across, and tightly packed with petals. Most are pure white, while there is a softer, creamier, centre.

 

Superb in either a sunny border or patio pot, many people choose to grow this variety purely for cut-flowers. Dahlia 'White Aster' offers a breath of freshness to any summer flower arrangement, with its masses of small flowerheads on strong stems. The blooms have a great vase life. They are a must, too, for weddings where the family like to supply some—or all—of the flowers!
