Dahlia 'Jowey Joshua'

For when subtlety and restraint just won’t do, the dazzlingly two-toned Dahlia 'Jowey Joshua' injects a big blast of bold colour. This decorative dahlia bears double flowers generously packed with ruby red petals, each with a creamy yellow reverse. 'Jowey Joshua's strong visual appearance works brilliantly with other rich, gutsy colours—we love it with the tangerine orange of Dahlia 'Bishop of Oxford', the near black red of Dahlia 'Night Queen', and the rich violet of Salvia 'Caradonna'. Who needs pastels?!  

Blooming long and hard, Dahlia 'Jowey Joshua' can flower for up to half the year (from June until November) and is an invaluable source of colour and vibrancy when all else is beginning to tire. For an extra bushy and floriferous plant, pinch out the growing tip when around 20cm tall to just above the top set of leaves.
