Begonia collection 'Fringed Friends'

Our 'Fringed Friends' Begonia collection consists of two free-flowering colours, each producing masses of magnificent and large, ruffled, double flowers, up to 10-22cm across. The petals are beautifully crimped at their edges, making the blooms easily mistaken for extra-large carnations. These sturdy plants flower throughout summer and until the first frosts of autumn. Compact and heat-tolerant, these fimbriata begonias deserve a prominent place in your hanging baskets, windowboxes, patio containers and flowerbeds!

 

Begonia 'Fimbriata Ruffled Salmon' produces blooms of a gorgeous shade of soft coral-salmon. It is the slightly larger of our two Ruffled varieties which means that, if they are planted together, you can create a stunning tiered effect. The slightly shorter Begonia 'Fimbriata Ruffled Red' has fiery scarlet-red petals that stand out so beautifully from the deep green, wavy leaves.
